CXC brought Land Rover’s Defender to life across two distinct environments with the custom-built Defender House. From the high-energy Boots & Hearts Festival to the serene Vetta Nordic Spa, we designed a modular installation blending faux concrete and branded elements to deliver both durability and elegance. The result was a striking, adaptable brand experience that captured Defender’s spirit — adventurous yet refined.
The Challenge
Land Rover wanted to showcase the iconic Defender in two very different environments — the high-energy Boots & Hearts Festival and the serene, elevated Vetta Nordic Spa. Both locations demanded durable, eye-catching structures that could reflect the Defender’s rugged sophistication while holding up under festival crowds and spa-level design expectations.
The Solution
CXC designed and built the Defender House, a custom installation that blended faux concrete and wood finishes to balance strength and warmth. The dual-site build required a flexible approach:
At Boots & Hearts: the structure was engineered for quick install and takedown, while maintaining a bold presence among large-scale activations.
At Vetta Nordic Spa: the same design language was reimagined in a tranquil environment, highlighting natural textures and premium finishes.
The Execution
Using in-house CNC machining and digital fabrication, our team produced precision-cut panels, branded elements, and modular framing that allowed for fast assembly and adaptability between sites. The faux concrete panels gave the builds a striking, architectural quality.
